Dev Chavan

After graduating from the University of Leicester in 2013, Dev is specialising in Geriatric Medicine, at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He has completed the Speciality Certificate Examination and has a subspecialty interest in Ortho-Geriatrics.

Dev is passionate about healthcare policy and medical education. He has completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education and was awarded a prize for his contribution to teaching by South Thames Foundation School.

He is the Vice Chair Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, Trainees Committee and is an elected member for England and Wales. He also is a member of the Colleges Strategy and Equality and Diversity Group.

Between 2018-19 Dev worked as the National Medical Directors Clinical Fellow at NHS England and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges. He worked on a broad range of national policy areas including:

• Clinical review of standards ( 4 hour target and 18 week RTT review)
• Evidenced Based Interventions
• NHS Long Term Plan (2019)
• Accelerated Leadership Proposal
• Assurance of clinical content of NHS Pathways (NHS 111 services)
